BusinesCard — living QR handshake

Public card for every BusinesSite user or business. The card is public (any phone camera). Follow-up is app-only (Discuss pair group).

• Save contact: /card/{slug}.vcf
• QR image: /card/{slug}.png (encodes the URL — never a frozen vCard)
• Guest claim: /card/claim — get your own QR in minutes
• Scan webhook: POST /card/{slug}/scan — both contact lists + pair group

Fields you can add

Name, photo, role, business, city, phone, email, languages, offer line, website, eShop / store URL, product catalogue URL, street address, maps pin, pay/tip link, LinkedIn, WhatsApp.

Short form also works: card phone +27…. Photo upload API: POST /businessite/card/update_photo (phone + photo file, optional slug). Profile selfie can also set the card: /businessite/update_photo?also_card=1.

Truecaller

BusinesSite cannot push a card into Truecaller (no consumer write API). When someone Saves contact (vCard now includes photo), Truecaller often shows that name/photo on calls because it reads the address book. A verified green Truecaller for Business badge is a separate Truecaller product we can wire later.

Verticals

Every powered service reuses the same card: eShop, tourism, consulting, CareerWIL, i-Spaza. Call businessite.card.ensure_for_client(client) or POST /api/v1/businessite/card/ensure. Portal CTA pattern: link to /card/{slug}?src=….
